Suminagashi water marbling kit

Having wanted to offer a Suminagashi kit for many years we are finally able to provide them, allowing you to try this simple yet addictive craft at home.

Suminagashi differs from the traditional colourful and stylised marbling as it uses just water, ink and dispersant to create the recognisable black and white designs that are synonymous with this art form.

Unlike marbling very little equipment is required to get good results and there is no the mess and splatter often associated with traditional marbling.

Results are easily achieved and each sheet you make will be different to the next.

This little kit contains everything you need to try your hand at Suminagashi.
You just need a clothes line or clothes airer and pegs to hang your sheets.

The full list of the contents are as follows:

- Suminagashi tray

- Pad of 48 sheets of traditional 35gsm Sumi / Rice paper

- Small 100ml bottle of black Sumi ink

- 2 x bamboo stylus

- Instructions with original Suminagashi cover

- 2 x small ceramic Chinese bowls

- 100ml bottles of dispersant with glass pipette

- Fan to 'waft' the design

Kits will be sent to you using Royal Mail tracked services.

**NOTE: These are sent wrapped inside special boxes especially for these kits so anything else ordered at the same time will need to be sent separately so the shipping cost will be higher to cover this**
