2026 Comprehensive Paper Marbling Kit

A lovely kit with everything you need to try marbling at home.
You just need access to water and a drying rack (clothes airers work a treat) and a tray, for these we would recommend either a cat litter tray or a garden centre small gravel tray.
These kits are perfect for beginners as there are full instructions but they are also great for someone looking to taking their marbling a step further.
The marbling provisions are nestled into one of our printed marbled papers and set within one of our large postal boxes.
The full list of the contents in this particular kit is below:
- 250g of Alum (mordant)
- 200g of Carrageenan powder (your 'size')
- Marbling Instruction booklet with hand paper marbled 'cover'
- 1 sponge for Aluming
- 10 sheets of buttermilk paper, 120gsm, 510mm x 780mm
- 1 bottle of 'expander'
- 1 pair of latex gloves
- 5 tubes of Gouache paint in a selection of colours inside a glassine bag.
- 3 x fan brushes (various sizes)
- 2 x pipettes
- 2 x bamboo stylus
- 10 sheets of A4 newsprint to skim your size
- 1 x double-sided marbled comb with teeth at different intervals
- Small selection of other items to marble depending on what we are currently using in the workshop but this may include vintage book pages, antique papers, book-cloth, blank greetings cards, wooden items, fabric off-cuts, to name a few!
