Is there a discount for ordering large quantities?
We are happy to offer discounts for ordering larger quantities of each design, please email us with your requirements and we will provide you with a price.
Can I stock your papers in my shop or online web-shop?
You certainly can, and we give a trade discount to those selling our sheets. Please contact us for our current Trade Price List. Minimum Order Quantities apply.
What paper stock do you use?
The majority of papers are marbled onto a Buttermilk coloured Wibalin which is a 120g long grain paper. Short grain paper can be used on large orders if required.
Paper size is 510mm x 750mm. We do also have designs on white, red and fawn base paper. Other colours / weights / grains can be ordered in specially, but will cost a little more per sheet. For large orders we can order in short grain especially. Alternative paper weights can also be available and we often marble on to 90gsm should you need a lighter stock.
What papers are in your assorted bundles?
Our assorted bundles contain a selection of individual sheets from our current stock which comprise a very large selection of different patterns and colour-ways.
What is the difference between first and second quality?
Seconds are discounted as they contain some form of minor flaw. In most cases it is an air bubble, but it could also be a small blemish from the marbling process or the sheet may be a little smaller in size.
Seconds are fairly rare though and we don’t always have many in stock, and the variety of these sheets is much less than with the firsts.
Why does Pattern no. 7 cost more?
Pattern no. 7 has been 'Double Marbled' meaning the whole process has been completed twice.
Value Added Tax (VAT)?
Jemma Lewis Marbling & Design is a VAT registered business (reg number 946 6349 83)
The prices you see listed next to the items in our online store include VAT. If you order outside of the online store, prices will be quoted plus VAT. In all instance carriage will be added on as extra.
Can you match an Antique Marbled Paper?
We do offer a matching service so please send us a sample piece of the paper you would like matched (where possible an actual piece is always better than a photograph) and we shall get as close as we can to your original. As this is a lengthy process we ask for a minimum of 5 sheets. If you are happy to have something generally similar, then there is no minimum order quantity. Each sheet is charged at £8.50 + vat and carriage.
Can you produce a bespoke design?
We love to produce bespoke papers and work on special commissions to please get in touch with your brief and requirements. We can provide quotations on request for this special service.
Do you sell marbling supplies?

How are papers dispatched.
Most of the time we use Royal Mail or UPS, but we do use alternatives from time to time. We try to use the best and most economical shipping method depending upon your destination and the weight and size of the parcel being sent.
How are the Marbled papers sent?
The majority of time papers are sent rolled, and inside a postal tube.
Do you make miniature Marbled papers?
From time to time little bundles of miniature papers will be added to the store. These are on very light-weight 45g paper
Are the Marbled Papers coated with anything?
The papers are not given any treatment as standard, but please contact us if you would like to know about protective options we may offer such as Beeswaxing the sheets. This increases durability but does not make the papers appear shiny or glossed.
Can I visit?
Visitors to our workshop are more than welcome to review the current stock and purchase directly but please do telephone ahead to make an appointment and check we are available.
We are a commercial studio and marble 5 days a week every week so unfortunately we are not able to accommodate studio visits to watch the process right now.
