Inspired by those fantastically colourful and nostalgic crepe crackers of the past I set out to create a marbled version for 2024.

Crepe paper it turns out is incredibly difficult to marble - only one step up from tissue paper which I class as impossible to marble.

So, whilst I had originally planned to make many of these the fiddly-ness of them has resulted in a very Limited Edition of just 13!

Each piece of crepe paper has been hand marbled. The crinkle is part of the natur eof crepe and they do have a little stretch to them.
They have then been wrapped around a sturdy lidded Kraft tube.
Tied with silver twine they are finished with a gold Dresden paper decoration.

The kraft inner tubes are pretty substantial and can be filled with all manner of small gifts and treats.

These are intended more as a gift box than traditional 'cracker' as there is no SNAP included.

To use simply un-tie the silver thread, unroll the crepe, fill your inner tube then re-roll.
I enclose a small gold seal sticker should you wish to hold the reverse in place.
You may wish to fluff up the ends better, I have tied them quite loosely and simply.

If you would like to re-use the crackers year-on-year please do not tie the twine too tight as this would risk tearing the crepe.
