All our workshop dates will be posted here and although I don't usually start the workshops until the Spring (when it's warmer and we can maybe have the doors open) I do start booking in dates as soon as I have dates available.

These workshops are BEGINNERS marbling so are very much suited to someone who has never marbled before; you don't need to have any experience as we start from the beginning.
I may look at offering some intermediate or experienced workshop dates in the future but for now it's very much aimed at the beginner.

Due to the very high demand for marbling workshops in the last few years we have decided to make any dates we have available via this website listing ONLY, so you can purchase directly from the website if a date works for you.
This keeps things fair and gives everyone equal opportunity as operating a waiting list system would just be so unrealistically long!
(As dates become available they will be posted on our Instagram page @jemmalewismarbling so you may wish to sign up for our notifications so you get alerted when we post or I can send you an email when dates are added - just drop me an email to be added to this list).

I'm afraid the dates are generally very ad-hoc, can be quite short-notice and sadly are always going to be a bit sparse due to our current order commitments and long-term projects we are working on but I love holding workshops and meeting new people so look forward to meeting as many of you as possible this year.

**PLEASE NOTE THESE WORKSHOPS ARE 1-2-1 ONLY**
Our workshop is small and we only have one marbling tray so our workshops are tailored towards a 'one to one' marbling experience.

We have a Cotonpoo who is classed as a 'velcro dog' which means he will probably be in the workshop for the duration of your workshop.
He's super friendly and loves attention.

The workshop is held at my garden studio in Melksham and lasts for 3.5 hours from 10am until 1.30pm.
The workshop is an introduction to paper marbling so very suitable to someone who has no marbling experience at all.
During the workshop you will use all materials and equipment that I use here on a day to day basis and you will produce full sized sheets (510mm x 750mm).
All the sheets you create on the day (anywhere between 8 - 15 sheets) will be yours to keep and I will send these back to you a few days after your workshop once they have been dried and pressed.
Shipping your papers to a UK address is included in this price but shipping to an International address will incur a surcharge and I can give you a quote for this depending upon Country.

During your time here I will begin by talking you through the various tools and equipment that we use and step by step we will begin marbling!
I will run through as many of the various traditional and much loved marbling patterns as possible beginning with a Turkish Spot and working our way through to the popular 'Spanish Ripple' marbled paper which looks like 3D folds of fabric.

Lunch is not provided but I will provide hot and cold drinks and some light nibbles on the day ;-)

Please note our marbling workshops are for Adults only (18+)

Once you have made your booking I will be in touch shortly afterwards via email to provide some additional information about the workshop and again shortly before your workshop.

If you need to cancel please do so within 72 hrs of arrival so the date can be offered to someone else.
