This is a special one of a kind paper that has been produced on a vintage handmade paper.
These papers were made in the 1950s and 60s by W.S Hodgkindon & Co. who were based in Somerset, England, from the 17th century until 1972 when paper production there ceased.
This paper has Deckle edges (one has been torn by hand as we need to reduce the size to fit on our tray).
Size approx. 510mm x 750mm
It has a lovely textured surface which shows through subtly through the marbling.
I have chosen a traditional design featuring a Gloster spot over a black, brown and rich ochre vein.
This paper is more expensive that our standard one-off designs due to the cost of the vintage paper itself.
This vintage paper does not lay down on the surface of the size as well as our normal smooth papers so there may be the odd small air bubble or flaw within the design.
I will be marbling more of these vintage papers soon so please do not hesitate to contact me if you are looking for something particular.
