This is another map compiled for The National Geographic Magazine that I purchased from a local Antique shop.
This map is dated May 1980.
This map is larger than the others we have marbled.
Due to it's larger format we created a border which has been left un-marbled but which looks effective agains the marbled sections - see images for info.
Please note there is a small approx. 15mm tear on one side but its only on the un-marbled border.
Marbled in a palette of bright green, dusky pink, metallic gold and lacy blue
Marbled in a contemporary and abstract design
The reverse of the map is printed in full colour with information about the area shown
Map is in good condition but although kept flat and pressed by us it was folded for many years and the fold creases are still evident. There may also be a couple of very small pin sized holes in the joins from where it has been folded.
Would be great framed as an unusual piece of artwork or would also make some very interesting book covers.
The size of this map is 74cm x 58cm
Sent rolled inside a postal tube
